What Are Dental Implants?

A dental implant is a small titanium post that replaces the root of a missing tooth. It's placed directly into your jawbone, then topped with a custom-made crown that matches the rest of your smile. Unlike a denture or bridge, it stands on its own, without relying on neighbouring teeth for support.

If you've already been quoted for an implant somewhere else, this is a good page to be on. We charge a consultation fee and take our time, so there's no pressure to say yes. Your on-site CBCT scan shows us exactly what's there, and we'll tell you plainly if an implant is the right call, if a simpler option fits, or if you don't need the work at all.

We know that losing a tooth, or living with one that no longer works, affects more than your bite. At iCare Dental in IOI City Mall Putrajaya, our team's here to make this comfortable for you, from your first on-site CBCT scan to your final crown.

How it works

Your treatment, step by step.

1

On-Site CBCT Scan

We take a 3D CBCT scan to see your bone exactly, then show you on screen whether an implant is the right call before you commit to anything.

2

Treatment Day

Your implant is placed in a single visit under local anaesthesia, so you stay comfortable throughout.

3

Healing Period

Over 3 to 6 months, the implant fuses with your jawbone, a process called osseointegration.

4

Long-Term Care

We attach your permanent crown and schedule regular check-ups to keep it healthy for years to come.

Could Dental Implants Be Right for You?

Most adults in good overall health are suitable candidates for dental implants. During your consultation, we'll assess your specific needs with a 3D scan.

You've got one or more missing teeth, or a tooth that can't be saved.

You have healthy gums and enough jawbone, or you're open to bone grafting.

You're a non-smoker, or willing to cut back during healing.

You're looking for a long-term solution rather than a removable one.

If you're unsure, or you've been quoted elsewhere and want a second opinion, our team will assess you with the on-site CBCT scanner and tell you honestly what your smile needs. If that sounds like you, message us.

Frequently asked questions.

Here is what people ask us most about Dental Implants.

Yes. Bring us the quote and any scans you have, and we'll take our own on-site CBCT scan so we're working from current evidence. We'll show you what we see on screen and tell you honestly whether an implant is the right option, a simpler fix would do, or you don't need the work at all.

Most cases take 3 to 6 months from placement to final crown, depending on how your jawbone heals. We'll give you a clearer timeline after your CBCT scan.

The implant's placed under local anaesthesia, so you shouldn't feel pain during the procedure. Some soreness afterwards is normal and manageable with regular painkillers.

We can usually still help with bone grafting, which we carry out on-site. Your CBCT scan shows us exactly how much bone you've got before we start, so the plan's based on clear evidence rather than guesswork.

A single implant is RM8,000 for Dentium, RM10,000 for Straumann, and RM12,000 for a ceramic implant, per tooth. A full-arch case starts from RM60,000. We offer 0% interest instalments up to 24 months. If bone grafting is needed first, this is carried out on-site and typically ranges from RM1,000 to RM3,000 — the exact figure depends on the extent of work required for your case. We'll confirm the full cost after your CBCT scan, so you have the complete picture before deciding anything. T&C apply. Results may vary by individual case.

With good oral hygiene and regular check-ups, a dental implant can last for decades, in many cases a lifetime.
